Matthews & Leigh believes in the importance of contributing to the communities in which it works. Whether this is through job creation, training, apprenticeship opportunities or the use of local suppliers and labour.

It also prides itself on its active role in the life of its local community. From raising money for charities, volunteering time and resources, offering sponsorship and donations to staff involvement, Matthews & Leigh takes its commitment to helping the local community and building relationships with them very seriously.

Whether it’s supporting the local sporting stars of tomorrow, helping schools improve their facilities or taking part in charity events, Matthews & Leigh is always willing to consider getting involved in local projects in accordance with its budget.

Time and resource

Dalton St Michael’s School – flagged areas for a greenhouse and school shed; built a greenhouse out of recycled bottles and shed as well as improving the children’s playground.

Staff involvement

Staff from Matthews & Leigh took part in a Royal Marines Commando Challenge where they took on the tough marines obstacle course over 10K, raising nearly £3000 for their charity.
