The Orchard, Barrow, Clitheroe (COMPLETED)

Our new Quantity Surveyor has been able to cut his teeth on 2 new developments awarded by Morris Homes in the Clitheroe area.

The first of these schemes is The Orchard which sits on the former site of a well-known Garden centre in Whalley.

The contract includes the full roads and Sewers and Groundworks packages and includes Allen block retaining walls – a stone faced interlocking system.

Poor ground conditions combined with the wet weather made the on-site sewers a challenge but a 300m run of combined sewer through the main highway is still to be installed and will require extensive planning to carry out the work successfully whilst maintaining access through a busy main road.

The works are worth in excess of £2.50m at this 45 plot site.
