The Avenues, Newton Heath, Manchester (COMPLETED)

The Avenues at Newton Heath is a  development of two and three bedroom homes.

A redevelopment site just 15 minutes from the centre of Manchester of 109 two and three bed houses with over 1000 m of sewers up to 900 mm diameter and associated manholes, 1700 sm of road and footpaths.

Matthews & Leigh carried out a major sewer connection 6.50 m deep in an existing road which involved the closure of a main bus route and the required traffic management. Special care was taken to work around a 300 mm existing gas main.

The foundations have been deep strip and piled due to the unstable nature of the ground.
