NEW POSITION AVAILABLE…. ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR.

Job Title:     Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary:         £35,000 per year + commercial vehicle

Location:     Leyland based, with some travel to sites based around the North West.

Contract:     Full time, permanent.

Summary:
A well-established groundworks and civil engineering company for residential new build projects, seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial team. Office base din Leyland, travel to sites based across the North West is required.

Duties:

• Assist in monthly valuations and payment applications.
• Assist in pricing of variations.
• Assist in company job cost reporting.
• Assist with subcontractors.
• Prepare take-offs/measurements and bills of quantity.
• Assist in preparing tenders.
• Co-ordinate drawings register.
• Liaise with site teams.
• Liaise with Buying to support site activities.

Requirements:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 1–2 years’ experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveying/Commercial role.
• UK driving licence.
• Strong maths, IT and analytical skills.
• Keen to learn.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Groundworks or civil engineering experience.
• Experience of Eque2 Construction Manager system.

Supportive work environment to aid progression to Quantity Surveyor level.
